5 REASONS TO Choosing Rafting China

    Our awards

Great Rivers Rafting has been awarded the Green Globe certification, granted by an internationally recognized authority in sustainable travel.

After receiving the official certificate, Great Rivers Rafting's founder, ZHIYUAN CHENG shared a post on WeChat Moments right away:

"Five years ago, we set foot in China's national parks for the first time. Five years later, we believe that tomorrow's eco-travel is today's outdoor travel. This certification is only another starting point—the road ahead leads to the next five years."

    Our local expertise

As a key aspect of eco-travel, we have always placed great importance on giving back to local communities. This commitment has led us to intentionally train and employ many local staff members.
Having lived here for generations, they possess an intimate understanding of the region's climate, environment, river dynamics, and the behavior of local flora and fauna. Whether in rafting operations or guiding guests in wildlife observation, they bring a wealth of experience. They form the backbone of Great River Rafting.

    Our quality approach

Our rafting standards are rooted in the United States. As a globally recognized river steward and rafting instructor, Travis Winn serves as a bridge, bringing his deep understanding of rivers and extensive rafting experience to our team.
Every one of our captains undergoes professional training and has at least five years of rafting experience on the those rivers. From vehicle logistics, meal preparation, and interpreting local culture, these well-trained local captains are fully capable of delivering every aspect of the journey with excellence.

    Immersive rafting experience

Compared to short commercial rafting trips, we place greater emphasis on taking our guests deep into nature, allowing them to experience the rhythm of the river through full-day or even multi-day long-distance journeys. We spend extended hours on the river each day, sometimes incorporating camping and hiking to connect different sections of the route.
All of this is designed to help guests truly understand the essence of rafting as a sport, as well as the vital importance of rivers to humanity.

    Multicultural experience

Beyond rafting, we hope our guests will encounter the richness of local culture throughout the journey and gain insight into the way people live here. We visit ethnic minority communities and engage in conversation with local residents. We explore temples and experience the power of spirituality. We also track wildlife and observe them in their natural habitats.
In short, what we offer is not just a rafting trip, but a truly multicultural journey.

    Responsible Tourism

Drifting is a way to enter nature without any motorized power, to step into the river that has accompanied you as you grew up. Through the sport of drifting, it also draws society's attention to the state of rivers and the environment, awakening a spontaneous hope that our future generations will still be able to see rivers flowing freely in their natural state.
